La Coupole drops anchor on the Moroccan Atlantic coast

After a full renovation programme facing the Atlantic Ocean, the venue has been completely rethought. Natural materials, reclaimed timber, organic paints, reduced energy use: the transformation was carried out under a genuine environmental constraint, from floor to ceiling.

A menu turned towards the sea

Octopus salad, local sea bream ceviche, beef Wellington, roasted pineapple with honey for dessert: the menu follows the catch landed at Essaouira harbour and the seasons of the hinterland, served alongside a selection of Moroccan wines.

Open since March 2019, all day long

La Coupole opened in March 2019 and serves à la carte continuously, with a sunny terrace, a bar area and a panoramic sea view. Sunset drinks have become a fixture.

Ten minutes from the medina

The seafront location looks out over Mogador island and the harbour. The medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2001, is a ten-minute walk away.
